Please keep our school and community safe - do not send your child to school if they display any symptoms of Coronavirus, please do call school on 0151 525 9776 for further advice if you are unsure and we will be happy to help. Government guidance states, if you have any symptoms of Covid 19 - cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell - you must produce a negative PCR test, before your child can return to school. Lateral flow tests are for non-symptomatic cases only. Thank you for your continued support.

What a Busy Day at Rice Lane Infant and Nursery

Wow ! It has been a really busy day today.

The day started with an assembly led by our wonderful SNAG group. The children, Mrs Carr and Mr Mitchell explained the new reward system for the healthiest class - a healthy party, once a half term.
The children, as usual, were superb.

Our parent's Incredible Years course took place, led by Miss Pearce. From the comments we are receiving from parents on the course it appears that all participants are enjoying the course. We will hopefully be able to re-run this course in the Autumn term for other parents. Watch this space.

First thing this afternoon the children led a Children's Voice Meeting with Mrs Chatburn on the topic of Attendance - Why is it good to be in school?, How can we make sure we come to school everyday?. The children represented their classes wonderfully. Well done to all our representatives. They will feed back to the whole school tomorrow during assembly.

This afternoon was also the final family SEAL course which was enjoyed by the McGloin family, the Rothwell family and the Wignall family. The course ended with a party treat, and certificate giving for the children and parents. Well done to you all ! We will look at holding a similar course again in the future.

At the end of the day 6 of our Year 2 children planted flowers in window boxes along Walton Vale. The children will be returning tomorrow to meet the Mayor of Liverpool. Well done children - you did a great job and behaved exceptionally well.

See below for a selection of photographs throughout the day.
