The children and families again amazed us with your genorisity, by participated in a fund raising event "Bright for Sight".
All children were invited to to wear bright clothes on the 24th June, and bring in a donation for the charity 'Sightsavers'.
Mrs Peacock led the learning in each class to raise awareness of communities in Africa and India that are suffering from river blindness or trichiasis, and how our school community could help these people regain their sight.
On the 24th June, Mr Coran, from the charity 'Sightsavers' led an assembly to our children, about the work they do and the people they help.
Your kind donations will be going straight to the charity. The funds will pay for operations, create hospitals in the remote place, and provided training for doctors and nurses who supply the much needed medication.
Thank you again to all our families and friends supporting this charity event.
