Gardening Club Visit Rice Lane City Farm

Half of our gardening club members visit Rice Lane City Farm on Tuesday (22rd march) to help prepare a playground for their chickens and prepare a grassed area for the chickens to use.

The children commented "Its hard work all this gardening" (Mia McEvoy)
"The worms will enjoy living here now that we have cleared the stones" (Charleigh Tartt)
" The chickens will enjoy the playground we have made and I feel proud" (Harry Maddox)

It was a wonderful afternoon and although it was hard work the children (and staff) had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

The second half of our gardening club will visit next week to plant some hedgerow and clear some land ready for planting.

It is a pleasure to be associated with and help out at the farm.

If you have the time why not visit with the children and they will proudly show you their work.
