On Tuesday 25th January a representative from Barnardo's visited the school to deliver an assembly. The children were set a challenge to hard boil an egg, to decorate it and then look after it at home for 5 days. After looking after the egg for 5 days the children are invited to obtain sponsors, and any donated money should be placed in the envelope provided.
If your child does not wish to decorate and look after an egg, donations will still be gratefully recieved by Barnardo's.
If the children wish to bring their egg to school thay may do so Wednesday 2nd February.
The representative from Barnardo's complimented the children on their behaviour, listening skills and the caring things the children said. As always, they are a credit to their families and school.
The sponsor form/envelope containing any donations should be returned to school by Monday 7th February. Please ensure your child's name is on the envelope as they will be entered into a draw to win a Barnardo's teddy (regardless of the amount of the donation).
Barnardo's is one of the school supported charities as our children can relate to the difficulties experienced by children of a similar age to themselves. We only support a charity every 2 years because we fully understand the difficuly of finding sponsors on a frequent basis.
