At Rice Lane we are promoting the Health and Well-Being of children as we understand that a healthy body and mind will enable the child to reach their full potential to become a lifelong learner. School have been working and training with Place2 who are the leading children's mental health charity providing in-school support and expert training to improve the emotional wellbeing of pupils, families, teachers & school staff.

 

Our three Learning Mentors work with children, parents and carers to help support their emotional wellbeing and help promote a healthy family lifestyle. Children will have the opportunity to attend Relax Kids sessions during the school day, Chill Skills for year 6 pupils, Lunch time/After school clubs and be involved in activities and sessions during public awareness days. Parents and carers will also have the opportunity to come along to parenting courses, attend Just Relax sessions, coffee mornings and support the mentors with clubs/groups and activities throughout the year.
