In Nursery children have been talking about events in their own life. In key worker group the children have been sharing their news.
Reception children have been looking at old objects from the past such as, telephone, lantern and old record player. Children looked at an evacuee case and talked about why children were evacuated during World War 2.
This term in Year One we have been looking at famous Polar Explores from the past and comparing them. We will be looking at equipment they used now and then and how it has changed. They will be looking at differences and comparing two famous explores and looking at similarities and differences.
Year two have been finding out about the Great Fire of London. They looked at how the fire started and how and why it spread really quickly. Year two recreated the Great Fire of London. They have also been looking at Queen Elizabeth 1 and Queen Victoria and how they are related.
In Year 3 the children have been learning about the Stone Age through their topic 'Meet the Flintstones'.
In Year 4 the children have been learning about the Romans and how they changed Britain during the Roman Empire's rule.
In Year 5 the children have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons and their impact on life in Britain.
In Year 6 the children have been learning about the Vikings and how they invaded Britain. The children have also been learning about Pompeii through their Geography topic 'Disaster!'
